Made out checks for Chato & Bill Edwards.  Ate fried chicken over town.  Worked on checks – sent 7. Called co-op & Garfield co-op for storage & paid it. Lloyd Miller funeral at 1:30. Went to it. Chatted with Mary Blair.  Bill took Brian to Dodge to look at truck.  Gone all afternoon.  I went by Doskas a minute.  Helen C was there.  Got letter from Kay. Temp range 43° – 74°

A beautiful day but it went sour early.  I asked Bill how he felt & he must have been talking to someone.  He has to be sick in his mind.  I can’t believe his filthy mind.  I stay home & work.  Keep the yard, garden and flowers.  Do laundry, cook, and help him with his books and checks.  I’ve never given him any reason to doubt me.  He’s determined to lie & make up stories.  It makes me sick at heart.  He came back & said he’d seen “Hoot” over in town, which I doubt.  We ate over in town & stopped to look for her.  No luck.  Stopped at Colene’s & fed kittens.  First time sun has shown in ages.  Very wet til after noon.  Looked at Wheatons Feed; he will fill our silo at $14/ton.  I worked on boska all afternoon.  Made chili.  Mowed by pool 5:45 til 7.  R.V. came & raked.  I gave him chili.  Joe called, will be out this weekend.  Has set date for April 1st.

Temp range 58° – 80°

Crisp morning but got windier.  Joe came down first.  Drank coffee and took Ranni (Haynes) up some.  Guys went out on drills about 9:30 (on Holmes & s. part of section).  Ranni & Joe each at 2 eggs, bacon & toast.  Bill came in & had a roll with them.  We looked around, showed her garden & convertible.  Thought the place looked like “paradise”.  They went to look at ground & have lunch with Ralph.  I went over to town & mailed fair party card & stopped at the thrift shop.  Fixed sandwich for lunch.  Bill accused me of taking $1,000 out of his bill fold.  I never touched it.  Accused me of stepping out, etc.  I blew my stack!  Went out to clean the pool & mow.  He sent Brian up to help.  Then apologized.  Ralph, Joe & Ranni came over.  I fixed zucchini, Ralph cooked steaks.  I’d put up patio lights.  Cats got about half of a steak.  Merlene is moving.

Doska going to be great grandma again (Jody). Went by Kemps – weren’t home.  Justin came over twice looking for boys.  I called Don Martins before 8am to get on bindweed.  Fixed fried chicken, fried potatoes & cabbage, jello.  Bill went out 6:45 to 9:00, I mowed before 6 & from 7pm to 8:30.  Sarah said Ralph & Joe went to Denver.  They took boys to Jeannie’s yesterday.

Was tired, but better get on the stick.  Did chores – fed 3 baby kittens.  Made out payroll & other checks.  Left a little after 9 for Hutch.  Bill wanted to see about the $400 unclaimed property Rex Cudney told him about.  Rainy but stopped by the time we got to the fair.  Bill told parking lot attendant his wife had a very sore foot so he let us park fairly close to the walk in gate.  Still about 5 blocks to the industrial building, so bill could fill out the form on unclaimed property from Derby.  Ralph & Marian each had $125 from a bank in Wichita.  I got 800 number from them.  It was cool & partly cloudy.  Looked at exhibits, ate barbecue ribs & chicken.  Not very crowded.  Shopped at Pegues.  I got bras & pants.  Bill got shirt & underwear.  Rained most of the way home.  But not here.  Called Jeannie & Joe.  Ralph was gone.
